Webinars
Waste Check is now offering a variety of live webinars. Sessions can be booked for 1-on-1 or for a group. Invite Waste Check to Zoom in at your convenience.
Information on each online session offered is listed below. To book a session with us just click on the title of the webinar you are interested in and send us your preferred date and time. Our Education Coordinator will confirm the booking and send you a Zoom meeting invitation to the webinar.

Introduction to 4-Stream Sorting (30 minutes)
Log into Zoom from the comfort of your own home for the Introduction to 4-Stream Sorting webinar. This 30-minute webinar will introduce the basics of the 4-Stream Sorting program in Yarmouth and Digby Counties. We will cover the basics of properly sorting recyclables, organics, and garbage. This is a great learning opportunity for those new to Yarmouth & Digby Counties or for anyone needing a refresher on what goes where.

In the Classroom
The Education Coordinator is always happy to visit your classroom and provide curriculum-aligned presentations to your students.
These lessons are suitable for students from Pre-Primary to Grade 12.
All presentations are interactive and a great opportunity to get your students excited about the environment.
Presentation Topics can be on Recycling, Composting (including a visit from our incredibly special Red Wiggler compost worms) including a module on Netukulimk – The Mi’kmaw concept for respecting the natural world.
Presentations can be tailored to meet your class's needs and learning objectives.

Resident Education
Need help with sorting your waste? New to Yarmouth and Digby Counties and need someone to Zoom with you and review our recycling and compost programs? Waste Check is happy to help you.
Waste Check will Zoom with you and answer all your questions and concerns regarding our recycling and composting programs. We can even drop off an information kit to help you on your way to managing your waste.
In-person visits are available following all social distancing and COVID-19 Health and Safety Protocols.
